About

Setzler is a holistic design and build partnership based in Brooklyn, New York between artists Ruairidh MacLeod and Jamie Kuei. We specialize in fine woodworking and textile crafts applied to furniture, millwork and interiors. Our patrons are designers, architects, homeowners, and furniture lovers. We focus on improving interiors — homes, offices, galleries, and storefronts.

Our collaborative practice began out of a common need to transform space, to realign its form and function to suit the spirit of its use. We design to the specific needs of our clients and aspire to create special and distinct encounters through our furnishings.

We provide a boutique experience, whether we are fine-tuning the details in the design of an architect or taking a project from conception to completion with a homeowner. We pride ourselves on our mindful communication and seamless processes to provide the best value for our customers.

Further, we lend our intimate knowledge of craft to the design process, which adds value and efficiency to our client’s projects. Through years of diverse projects and experiences, the partnership has developed deep knowledge of material, keen craftsmanship, unique specializations, and a well-tooled workshop.
