Notable Listings
The former home of Sea Ranch architect George Homsey lists for $2.45 million
Built in the 1960s, the Sea Ranch development of Sonoma County, California, is still considered one of the state’s great planned communities thanks to its modern wood-clad residences and captivating sea views. Just before architect George Homsey began work on homes in Sea Ranch, he crafted this newly listed San Francisco home for his family in 1961. On the market for the first time ever, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is asking $2.45 million.
Skylights and oversized windows draw light into the home, which is clad in Douglas Fir throughout the interior. The open living space, which is half regular height and half double-height, is the highlight of the home’s vistas, with one room-length window presenting San Francisco views like a framed art piece. On the shorter end of the living area, a daybed nook offers a space for repose. An office that was once Homsey’s studio is situated in a gallery space above this room, at once connected and detached to the social activity of the home. Upstairs, a footbridge gives the primary bedroom access to the backyard. The original built-in shelving and furniture appear in many of the rooms. Many new builds and renovation projects emulate this era of California modernism, but this property is the real deal.

Asking $54 million, Rosie O’Donnell’s former Star Island home
Shaquille O’Neal, Rick Ross, and Jennifer Lopez have all owned property on Miami’s celebrity-beloved Star Island— and so has Rosie O’Donnell. The comedic actress’s Miami home has just hit the market for $54 million. In case anyone needs a reminder of just how dramatically South Florida’s luxury market has exploded in the past decade, that asking price is a far cry from the $16.5 million O’Donnell sold it for in 2013.
A motor court offers a graceful entry point to the home once visitors have made it behind Star Island’s guarded gates. The Mediterranean-style residence sits on over an acre of land with 200 feet of waterfront. Inside, there’s ample room for entertaining in the living and family rooms, and in the open concept kitchen. Eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms are spread across the main house and two guest houses, totaling 11,000 square feet. A workshop, boathouse, rooftop lounge, and pool add plenty of opportunities for leisurely afternoons.
The home is currently the only property available on Star Island. The listing is held by Liz Hogan, Compass’s Vice President of Luxury Sales.
A newly reimagined Hancock Park home for $7.1 million
For those looking for a walkable neighborhood not too far west, Hancock Park remains one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Many of its greatest attributes were baked in when the area was developed by G. Allan Hancock in the 1920s, like the deep setbacks of each house and the out-of-sight utility lines. The mix of revival architectural styles that were all the rage in LA at the time—Tudor, Spanish Colonial, and Chateau among them—certainly don’t hurt the neighborhood ambience either.
This Mediterranean 1927 build is classic Hancock Park from the exterior, though inside it’s been sleekly modernized by architect Robert Aitcheson of SCAAA. The complete remodel of the seven-bedroom, six-bathroom home involved installing new electrical, new plumbing, bringing in all new windows and doors, adding surround speakers, and a new security system. The new interior is minimalist, with no perceivable holdovers from the previous style, save for select arched doorways. The Bulthaup kitchen allows for plenty of storage space with none of the visual heaviness. Out back, there’s a pool and a detached garage that is currently being used as a home gym.
The listing is held by Sheri Bienstock of The Bienstock Group.
Model Residence
FrenchCalifornia and L’Objet collaborate on a model apartment at 212 West 72nd
AD PRO Directory firm FrenchCalifornia teamed up with design brand L’Objet to craft a turnkey model residence at 212 West 72nd. The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom residence has been filled with a selection of mostly light- and natural-toned pieces that complement the unit’s backdrop of prewar buildings visible just outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. FrenchCalifornia designed the entire space, down to the custom paint colors which are available for purchase. The home’s furnishings and decor, sourced from L’Objet, and artwork curated by NAVA Contemporary are also for sale.
“My goal was to design an elevated living experience that merges the classic elegance of the Upper West Side with a warm, modern sophistication,” Guillaume Coutheillas, founder and creative director of FrenchCalifornia, said in a statement shared with AD PRO. “We achieved this by thoughtfully curating vintage pieces from my personal collection, alongside iconic designs from L’Objet, creating a space that balances timeless beauty with everyday functionality. We took full advantage of the home’s light-filled rooms, expansive size, and stunning views, allowing for a truly luxurious yet practical living experience.”
The 2,589-square-foot home is currently listed for $6.45 million unfurnished. The home’s furnishings are available both to condo buyers and the general public.
First Look
A glimpse inside the amenity spaces at One Williamsburg Wharf
When the first condo at the 3.75 acre development known as One Williamsburg Wharf is complete, its centerpiece will be its impeccable range of amenity spaces. The project’s developers, Naftali Group, and the designers, AD PRO Directory firm Ward + Gray, have shared a first look at their plans for the impressive 20,000-square-foot collection.
Inside, the group will include a custom library, home theater, coworking lounge, and pet grooming station, among other interior amenities. Outside, a rooftop pool equipped with daybed cabanas and a juice bar offer a place to enjoy the property’s Manhattan views. Ward + Gray custom-designed every detail of the spaces, including the tiles, light fixtures, and furniture. The Dutch Masters—Vermeer specifically—were their chief inspirations for the hues selected for the square footage—a motivation that’s particularly clear in the blues featured throughout.
“Our vision for the collection of indoor and outdoor amenities at One Williamsburg Wharf draws from Brooklyn's storied industrial and artisanal heritage, giving the interiors distinctive character from the moment residents arrive,” Christie Ward and Staver Gray, principals of Ward + Gray, tell AD PRO by email. “Reminiscent of contemporary private members’ clubs, residents experience an atmosphere of wellness, carefully curated through the use of natural materials and organic forms in the interior finishes.”
Listings went live in mid-October for the property’s 89 residences. Prices start at $710,000 for a studio apartment.
